Unleash Your Speed – Key Features of the 1080 Sprint 2

The 1080 Sprint 2 by 1080 Motion is a state-of-the-art, portable training device designed for horizontal resisted or assisted training, including sprinting, change-of-direction (CoD) drills, and strength exercises. It is widely used by elite athletes, coaches, and researchers to enhance speed, power, and agility.

Key Features

  • Versatile training modes: Supports resisted sprints, assisted (overspeed) sprints, CoD drills, and repetition-based strength exercises such as squats, lunges, and pulls. It also offers isokinetic and eccentric-overload training capabilities.
  • Adjustable resistance and speed: Provides continuous resistance up to 20 kg (44 lbs) in Gear 1 at speeds up to 14 m/s (31 mph), and up to 40 kg (88 lbs) in Gear 2 at speeds up to 7 m/s (15.5 mph). Gear 2 also supports short resistance bursts of up to 70 kg (154 lbs) for fewer than three seconds.
  • High-speed capability: Achieves maximum speeds of 14 m/s (31 mph), facilitating effective overspeed training.
  • Extended training range: Accommodates training and testing over distances up to 180 meters by special order. A 120-meter line is the standard specification.
  • Real-time performance metrics: The adjustable touchscreen displays time, distance, speed, force, and power. The standard data-sampling rate is 200 Hz; special orders may increase it to 1000 Hz.
  • Smart connectivity: Wi-Fi enables seamless data transfer and software updates, and a USB-C port provides data connectivity.
  • Portability: The compact 11 × 12 × 12 in. design weighs 25 kg (55 lbs) and includes solid-rubber wheels and a padded carrying handle.
  • Battery-powered: A rechargeable 99 Wh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery enables use in a wide range of environments without a mains socket.
  • Quick start-up: Boots in under 10 seconds, minimizing downtime during training sessions.
  • Audio feedback: A built-in speaker provides auditory cues during workouts.

Advanced Training Capabilities

  • Eccentric overload: Set eccentric loads up to three times the concentric load to develop deceleration strength and help reduce injury risk.
  • Symmetry analysis*: Assess left-right force and power symmetry to identify imbalances and monitor rehabilitation progress.
  • Control App integration*: The 1080 Control App for Windows adds cloud data storage, live remote control, group training sessions, and long-term progress tracking.

Included Accessories

  • Sprint 2 unit with battery
  • Battery charger with a 2 m (6 ft) cord
  • Telescopic handle
  • Waist belts: light-duty resisted belt and change-of-direction belt
  • 1.3 mm line (standard length with an extra replacement line)
  • Gear 2 pulley

Note

Quick Start apps let you begin a workout directly on the machine. To save data and perform analysis, connect remotely to the Control App or use the Sessions App. See how to connect Sprint 2 or Cable to the Control App.
