A change of direction run (or "CoD") is a training form where the athlete performs horizontal movements (running, jumping, skating,...) while also changing direction one or more times during the rep.
In most cases, recording a run is as simple as opening the dialog, move the client to the start position and then press Start
. The machine will start measuring
as soon as the client starts running.
Dialog Contents
The dialog contains the following
- Run-up distance: The distance the client should run before the start of measurement happens.
- End Position: The offset from the start position where the finish line should be. Negative means behind the client (relative to their start direction).
- Min Turns: Specify the minimum number of turns the client must perform before it will be completed. This is only needed if the client will pass the finish line during the run.
- Start Direction: Specify the direction (assisted or resisted). Can be left in Auto and the machine will figure it out automatically.
See Change of Direction Training for more information about these parameters.
