Pairing is the term used to create a permanent link between a bluetooth device and a host device
(in this case a PC/Tablet running Windows).
Pairing only needs to be done once per tablet/PC. Windows will remember the device.
A single 1080 machine can be paired with multiple windows PCs and Tablets at the same time.
It can, however, only be connected to one of them at a time.
The user interface to do so changes with every version of Windows but the general work flow are usually the same
Windows 11
- Click the Windows Start button open Settings
- In the Settings window that appears, find Bluetooth & Devices (from the menu, or search for it)
- (On some windows 11 versions): Under Device Settings set Bluetooth device discovery to Advanced instead of Default.
- Make sure bluetooth is On and click Add Device
- Search for and click on the name of your 1080 device in the list of Bluetooth devices
Windows 10
- Click the Windows Start button open Settings
- Navigate to Devices => Bluetooth
- Make sure bluetooth is On and then click on your 1080 machine in the list of
nearby devices.- If the 1080 machine does not appear, click Add a new Bluetooth device to open a dialog that searches for nearby devices.
