This guide summarizes the steps to use Quick Start Open Training App.

This app is intended for training only and does not measure speed, force or power. It is a very quick way to launch into a training session with load.

Utilize this App with full access to the 1080 Resistance Control Bar that allows concentric/eccentric load and speed control to perform warm-ups, drills and potentiation exercises without measuring speed, force or power.

Step 1: Launch the App

  • Select the OpenTraining app and click to begin.

Step 2: Adjust Load, Mode and Speed Limits

  • Default load: 3 kilograms (recommended for resisted sprinting).
  • Increase or decrease the load using the app controls.
  • Fine-tune to values like 5.25 kg or 3.5 kg as needed using the "fine" option.
  • Recommend NFW mode for training but provides access to limited inertia isotonic and inertia with momentum Normal mode.
  • #Sprint 2 Recommend 14 m/s concentric speed limit and 2 m/s eccentric speed limit for sprinting and jumping.
  • #Sprint 2 Recommend 14 m/s concentric speed limit and 14 m/s eccentric speed lmit for change of direction drills.
  • #Cable Recommend 5 m/s concentric and eccentric speed limit for strength exercises, except when focusing solely on concentric loading, then limit eccentric speed as desired for slow return of the line into the motor.

Step 3: Perform the movement or exercise

When completed with the session, return to the home screen by selecting the arrow in the upper left corner.
