Do I need Wi-Fi to get started?

No. The Quantum connects via a Bluetooth connection with a tablet. The tablet can be on or off Wi-Fi during a session. To sync data recorded to the cloud, Wi-Fi connection is required on the tablet.

Can I use any tablet device with the 1080 Control App?

No. The 1080 Control App runs only on Windows 11 devices (Surface Go/Pro tablets or laptops).

How durable is it for team training?

The Quantum is built for heavy daily use. It supports fast turnover and smooth cable action for high-volume sessions. Software is designed for individual or small group sessions.

How soon will I see results?

Coaches often see immediate athlete buy-in. Objective profiling allows you to individualize resisted/assisted loads, leading to power and strength improvements within the first training cycles when utilizing evidence-based practices.

What is eccentric boost?

This feature allows a high pulling force of the line into the machine when “Boost” is applied. Always ensure proper calibration and safety precautions are maintained. This feature is only appropriate when a practitioner is controlling the machine. Not intended for individual use.

Technical & Software

Quickstart App modes

Default is No Flying Weight (NFW) that allows reactive change of direction movements without slack or tangling of the line.

What are the resistance/assistance modes

Options include NFW, Isotonic, and Normal, each with unique load properties. NFW combines the inertia properties of a normal mass and combines the smoothness of isotonic transition between resisted/assisted movements.

When should I use pulley gear vs no pulley?

Pulley doubles max load  from 25 kg->55 kg concentric, 38 kg→ 82kg eccentric) but halves top speed 8 m/s to 4 m/s concentric and 6 m/s to 4 m/s eccentric. Eccentric boost in pulley or no pulley gear is set to 0.1 m/s eccentric pull speed.

iOS/Android compatibility

Not supported. Windows 11 devices only for this product.

Sessions app offline

Works offline; syncs to the cloud when Wi-Fi is available. Data updates in real time.
