How do I set up my Sprint 1 for the first time?
Unbox the unit, plug in the unit, attach the emergency stop button and power it on. Connect a Windows tablet or laptop via Bluetooth connection. You can follow the steps here.
Do I have to have an account login to use the Sprint 1?
No. When connected to the tablet 1080 Motion Control App, you can select Quick start sprint or Quick start reps display metrics in real time only. Once the app is closed, the data is deleted.
Do I need Wi-Fi to get started?
No. The Sprint 1 connects via a Bluetooth connection with a tablet. The tablet can be on or off Wi-Fi during a session. To sync data recorded to the cloud, Wi-Fi connection is required on the tablet.
Can I use any tablet device with the 1080 Control App?
No. The 1080 Control App runs only on Windows 11 devices (Surface Go/Pro tablets or laptops).
How do I connect to the Control App?
The Sprint 1 creates a Bluetooth access point that connects to any Windows 11 device running the Control App. Learn more here.
What if I donāt have reliable Wi-Fi?
Record data to the 1080 Control app on the tablet and then sync the data to the cloud connecting to a reliable Wi-Fi source when it is convenient after the session.
What accessories are included with my Sprint 1?
Travel case, power cord, light duty belt, change of direction belts, replacement line, and pulley. You can order (contact sales@1080motion.com)and browse our online catalog. Customer must supply Windows 11 tablet or laptop to control unit.
How durable is it for team training?
The Sprint 1 is built for heavy daily use. It supports fast turnover (~15s per rep) and smooth cable action for high-volume sessions.
How many units do I need?
General rule: 1 unit serves 5ā10 athletes for linear speed profiling and training. Please talk to (contact sales@1080motion.com) to directly recommend use case in your testing and training environment.
How soon will I see results?
Coaches often see immediate athlete buy-in. Objective profiling allows you to individualize resisted/assisted loads, leading to speed improvements within the first training cycles when utilizing evidence-based practices.

Resetting zero position
Click on the mode button and then set zero position button to reset the line position into or away from the machine.
Traveling with unit
Allowed for air or vehicle transport within the case. Remove emergency stop cord prior to placing in the case.
Rain/sun exposure
Avoid direct rain. Use shade in hot sun to prevent overheating errors.
Safety devices
Line stop and/or Velcro release strap recommended for sprinting; optional for single-rep ballistic and isokinetic rep work.
