Sprint Training

Linear Sprinting is where a 1080 sprint is used to perform horizontal movements such as running, skating, jumping in a
single direction.

This can be accessed either from the Quick Start (sprint) without logging in, as part of a Group Training or from the browse data screen ("classical interface").

Setting Zero Position

To ensure an efficient and safe sprinting session, the zero position of the machine should be set correctly.

The zero position defines the point from the machine where the line is no longer pulled by the machine. It is
at this point where change of client can be made.

You can access the set zero position dialog from the machine menu.

Resisted Sprinting

When running resisted (away from the machine), it's important that the actual start of the machine is done at least
1 meter away from the zero position. This is to ensure that there is no slack in the line when the client starts running.

Assisted Sprinting

For assisted sprinting, the zero position also need to take into account the safe slow down of the runner.

The actual length of the slow down zone depends on a lot of factors, but in general:

  • 30m slow down zone suggested following high speed actions (max to overspeed)
  • 15-20m slow down zone suggested following moderate to lower speed actions (short, assisted accelerations)
