This guide summarizes the steps to set up and use the Assisted Sprint app.

> **Note** Quick start apps are used to quickly start a workout on the machine. To save data and perform analysis, please login and utilize the [Sessions App](/v1/docs/sessions-app).

## Step 1: Launch the App

- Open the Assisted Sprint app and click to begin.

## Step 2: Set Up the Zero Position

- Calibrate the "zero position" to ensure the line does not fully retract after a sprint.
- Recommended distance: at least 5 meters or 5 yards from the machine.

## Step 3: Define Zones

- **No Pull Zone:** Minimum 5 meters or 5 yards from the machine.
- **Slow Down Zone:** **Between the zero position and the finish line, with a minimum of 30 meters to allow the athlete to slow down safely.**
- **Running Zone:** Can range from 5 meters to 90 meters, depending on the sprint length.

## Step 4: Adjust Load

- Default load: 3 kilograms (recommended for initial trial of assisted sprinting).
- Increase or decrease the load using the app controls.
- Fine-tune to values like 3.5 kg or 4.2 kg as needed using the "fine" option.

> **Note** Slowly increase assisted load. [Learn more by watching this tutorial video](https://vimeo.com/580438586/7ae1b9e36c).

## Step 6: Set Measurement Distance

- Choose the distance to measure (e.g., 5 yards, 10 yards, or 30 meters) in the top bar.
- The app units match the machine setting.

## Step 7: Set Release Belt

#### -Connect the yellow handle velcro release strap to the tether and waist belt.

- Connect the yellow handle velcro release strap to the tether and waist belt.
- Overlap the velcro release strap 2-3 inches with the yellow handle in front of the runner's waist. This allows the belt to easily rip away at the release point during the Sprint.

## Step 8: Begin the Sprint

- Ensure the settings are correct, then start the sprint.
- Use the yellow manual release handle to break away from the line 30 meters in front of the 1080 Sprint to allow deceleration without motorized load.

## Step 9: View Results

- After the run, results will display:
  - **Miles per hour (or kph in metric).**
  - **Total time.**
  - **Distance run.**
- Results are saved as reps and are keept until you exit the app.

## Step 10: Manage Reps

- To delete a rep:
  1. Select the rep.
  2. Press the delete button.
