This guide summarizes the steps to set up and use the Change of Direction App.

> **Note** Quick start apps are used to quickly start a workout on the machine. To save data and perform analysis, please connect the control app remotely. [How to connect Sprint 2 or Cable to Control App](/v1/docs/connecting-sprint-2-or-cable-to-control-app)

## Step 1: Launch the App

- Open the Change of Direction app and click to begin.

## Step 2: Set Up the Zero Position and No Pull Zone

- Calibrate the "zero position" to ensure the line does not fully retract after a sprint and create a no pull zone.
- Recommended distance: at least 5 meters or 5 yards from the machine.
- Be careful not to move into the no pull zone during the change of direction exercise.

## Step 3: Understanding Start-Stop Position

- **Auto:** Data will be collected if moving toward or away from the Sprint 2
- **Resisted:** Data will only begin to be collected if runing away from Sprint 2
- **Assisted:** Data will only begin to be collected if running toward the Sprint 2

## Step 4: Adjust Load

- Default load: 3 kilograms (recommended for baseline change of direction testing).
- Increase or decrease the load using the app controls.
- Fine-tune to values like 5.25 kg or 3.5 kg as needed using the "fine" option.

## Step 5: Start and Stop position

- The same starting point must be crossed at the finish of the CoD movement to complete the exercise and display data.

## Step 6: Begin the Sprint

- Ensure the settings are correct, then start the movement.
- Adjust load and distance settings as necessary.

## Step 7: View Results

- After the movement, results will display:
  - **Miles per hour (or kph in metric).**
  - **Total time.**
  - **Distance run.**
- Results are saved as reps and are keept until you exit the app.

## Step 8: Manage Reps

- To delete a rep:
  1. Select the rep.
  2. Press the delete button.
