# Performing Load Velocity Test Session

## Choosing loads

Load selection based on type of movement (i.e. sprinting vs single rep squat Jump) are different. Be mindful to have at minimum 3 kg separation between resisted running repetitions and at minimum 2 kg seperation between strength and power single reps (i.e. Trunk rotation). Select loads within the range you plan to practice for the type of exercise being tested. If a high vdec is desired, then it's better if the load velocity profile also contains higher loads. Here is a sample of loads for a trained athlete using the Sprint 1 or Sprint 2 device.

Sample Sprinting Load Velocity Testing Protocol

1. 2 kg resisted sprint -> 30 meters
2. 8 kg resisted sprint -> 25 meters
3. 14 kg resisted sprint -> 20 meters

Sample Single Rep Load Velocity Testing Protocol (i.e. Trunk rotation)

1. 3 reps at 3 kg
2. 3 reps at 8-10% body weight
3. 3 reps at 12-15% body weight
