# Machine App Settings App

## Accessing the Settings Menu

1. **Navigate to the Settings Menu**:
  - Tap the **icon with lines and dots** located in the **lower-left corner** of the home screen.
2. **Settings Categories**:
  - The menu includes the following options:
    - **General**
    - **Wi-Fi**
    - **Software Updates**
    - **About**

## Adjusting General Settings

1. **Brightness and Volume**:
  - Modify the **screen brightness** and **button volume** in the "General" tab.
2. **Unit Settings**:
  - Switch between **Metric** (meters) and **Imperial** (yards/miles per hour).
  - Example: Change from **yards** to **meters** or vice versa.
  - Changes are saved automatically when you press the **back arrow**.

## Connecting to Wi-Fi

1. **Enable Wi-Fi**:
  - Go to the **Wi-Fi** tab.
  - Use the **slider** to turn Wi-Fi on if not already enabled.
2. **Connect to a Network**:
  - Select a network from the list.
  - Enter the password if required.
  - You can also:
    - **Forget a network**.
    - **Switch to a different network** as needed.
3. **Auto-Connect**:
  - Enable automatic connection for a preferred network.

## Managing Software Updates

1. **Connection Requirement**:
  - Ensure the machine is connected to Wi-Fi to receive updates.
2. **Download Updates**:
  - Updates are indicated by the **downward arrow** in the top-right corner of the screen.
3. **Install Updates**:
  - Navigate to the **Software Updates** section.
  - Tap **Install Now** to manually install the update.
  - Follow the on-screen instructions during the installation process.

## Viewing About Information

1. **Machine Details**:
  - Access the "About" section for key machine information:
    - **IP Address**: The unique network address.
    - **Device Name**: The name of the machine.
    - **Machine Type**: The model of the 1080 Sprint.
    - **Serial Number**: The machine's unique identifier.
    - **Software Version**: The currently installed app version.
2. **Return to Home Screen**:
  - Use the **back arrow** to exit to the main menu.
