# How to Change the Line on Sprint 2

If only the outermost part of your Sprint line is damaged, you may not need to replace it entirely. See our guide: [Removing a Damaged Section of the Sprint 2 Line](/v1/docs/removing-a-damaged-section-of-the-sprint-line) for instructions.

If the line is too worn or damaged to reuse, follow the steps below to fully change the line on your Sprint 2.

## Steps to Change the Line

1. **Open the Settings menu** From the Sprint 2 home screen, tap **Settings**.
2. **Go to Maintenance** In the settings menu, select **Maintenance**.

> If the line change option is not availible please make sure you are running the latest software version first.
4. **Follow the on-screen instructions** The Sprint 2 will guide you step by step through the line change procedure.
