# API Keys

API keys are used to gain access to 1080 data from third party applications. Only an account administrator can create or administer API keys.

Each API key provides access to all training data for the instructor. It's recommended that new keys are created for every API integration and that a comment is entered describing the purpose of the key.

This guide summarizes the steps to create and manage an API key token within the 1080 Motion software platform. API keys are used to gain access to 1080 training data from third party applications. ## Step 1: Go to webapp.1080motion.com

- Login to account with administrator access

## Step 2: Navigate to the blue account button

- Select under Admin tools -> API Keys

## Step 3: Create a API key token
